Ensuring the Village is Prepared for Every Situation
Giving Tuesday 2025 - Help Us Create our Emergency Funding Safety Net
Right now, we are navigating a village wide lockdown, due to the Marburg virus in our immediate area in Soddo. Being in a lockdown for the safety of our children creates unforeseen but necessary expenses, and our commitment to this mission means we must find a way to pay for these expenses. We budget carefully for everything, and this situation was not one we could have predicted. We do not know how long it will last, but we do know that we need to be prepared for this type of situation in the future. Ensuring that future emergencies do not catch us unprepared has become a priority.
In response, we have created our Emergency Situation Fund. Our goal is to raise $16,000 USD, which should be enough to allow us to address emergency situations in the short term, for about 4 months. This will allow us to buy extra food, pay extra salaries, procure any needed supplies, or anything else that might be needed in a crisis. This emergency fund will give us breathing room to then address any situation that might last longer than 4 months.
Our goal is to be so well prepared that the children in our care always have the best we can provide for them, no matter what might happen. They deserve to have the stability and security that come from being prepared.
Thank you for helping us create this fund by donating today, and celebrating Giving Tuesday.
It takes a village to change the world. Thank you for choosing to be part of our village by supporting us today.
With Gratitude,
The Uryadi's Village Team
